Dom Pérignon unveils limited-edition end-of-year collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami

A fusion of haute luxury and contemporary pop art marks one of the season’s most exclusive Champagne releases

Dom Pérignon has revealed a new limited-edition collection for the end-of-year celebrations, created in partnership with renowned Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami. The collaboration unites the timeless elegance of the maison with Murakami’s instantly recognisable pop aesthetic, resulting in one of the most anticipated releases of the season.

Two iconic cuvées receive the artistic treatment: Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010. Both labels feature Murakami’s signature “smiling flowers,” a symbol of joy and playfulness in the artist’s universe. The vibrant illustrations adorn the bottles and their specially designed coffrets, creating a striking contrast between Dom Pérignon’s classic identity and Murakami’s colourful, contemporary world.

This partnership continues the maison’s longstanding tradition of collaborating with influential figures from the art world. Previous editions have included reinterpretations by Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons and Michael Riedel. Murakami’s involvement adds a fresh layer of cultural relevance, bridging luxury craftsmanship with global pop art.

Highly coveted by collectors, the limited release reinforces Dom Pérignon’s position at the intersection of art, culture and high luxury. Availability will be extremely restricted in several markets. In Brazil, only one hundred bottles will arrive, with prices ranging from R$ 2,400 to R$ 2,600.

More than a celebratory beverage, the collaboration between Dom Pérignon and Takashi Murakami presents a fusion of tradition and modernity, appealing to Champagne connoisseurs and art enthusiasts alike. It is a testament to how luxury brands continue to expand their creative universe through partnerships that transcend categories and invite new audiences into the world of fine Champagne.
